From Conception’s Seed to the Fruit of MotHERhood

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬 and 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬, share a common theme of Faithfulness and the Power of small BEgINnINgs. They both emphasize the importance of Faith and INtegrity, even when applied to small thINgs, and how these qualities can lead to great outcomes.

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬

Faith as a Mustard Seed

IN 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬, Jesus speaks about the Power (and provision) of Faith, even IN small amounts. The Mustard Seed, though tINy, IS Known for growINg INto a large Plant. Similarly, even a small amount of perennial and EVERGREEN Faith can, and Will, lead to monumental outcomes. The teachINg Here IS that it’s not about the size or quantity of Faith, but rather the quality — its potential for growth and action. Faith, even IN its smallest form, can, and Will, move MountaINs and make what seems impossible — impossible.

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in very little is also dishonest in much.” 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬

Faithfulness IN Little and Much

IN 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬, Jesus emphasizes the importance of BEINg Faithful and Trustworthy with small responsibilities and reSources. If someOne can BE Faithful IN and (en)Trusted with small matters, they can BE Faithful IN and (en)Trusted with greater responsibilities and reSources. It HighLights the connection BEtween INtegrity IN small thINgs and the ability to handle more significant matters, and to carry that INtegrity forward IN such matters. It’s simple — how WE handle small thINgs IS a TEST of our character and Faithfulness IN larger thINgs.

The Parallels

1. Smallness with Great Potential: Both verses deal with smallness — a Mustard Seed or "very little" — and how Faithfulness or Trustworthiness IN these small thINgs can, and Will, lead to much greater outcomes. In 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬, small Faith moves MountaINs, and IN 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬, Faithfulness IN little thINgs leads to greater Trust and responsibility.
2. Maturation and Multiplication: The Mustard Seed analogy shows the exponential growth of Faith, just as Faithfulness IN little thINgs builds Trust and opens the door for more opportUNITY, reflectINg a “growth mINdset” or what I refer to as — HeART state — IN any and All Spiritual matters.
3. Faith IN Action: Both verses teach that Faith, no matter how small, IS active and LIVING.

The journey of a Woman’s Faith through conception, pregnancy, Birth, and MotHERhood BEaUtifully reflects the themes of 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬 and 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬.

Faith Through Conception – The Mustard Seed

At conception, Life BEgINs, fully Present, yet small and unseen, much like the Mustard Seed described IN 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬. ThIS tINy Seed does not merely hold the potential for Life — it IS Life, with All the potential for maturation and multiplication already contaINed and encoded withIN it. A Woman’s Faith through conception IS Trusting IN thIS Truth — that from thIS small BEgINnINg, Life IS affirmed and unfoldINg. Just as the Mustard Seed IS and designed and destINed — by it’s Creator — to BEcome and BE a great Tree, so too IS the Life conceived withIN the Womb already full of Promise and Purpose.

Faith Through Pregnancy – Faithful IN Little

DurINg pregnancy, a Woman must express and emBody Faith / Faithfulness IN the “small” and “simple” thINgs — takINg care of and tendINg to Her soma and Spirit (which Now houses Her Baby), pourINg INto the HeART of the Home, connectINg with Her baby, PrayINg, restINg and so on. The small daily (compoundINg) acts of nurturINg and nestINg, remINd me of the teachINg revealed IN 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬. Faithfulness IN the little thINgs durINg thIS season builds the foundation for greater thINgs — both the Birth of the Child and the rightful roles and responsibilities of MotHERhood. The Faith a Woman expresses and emBodies through MotHERINg Herself and Her unBorn Child throughout pregnancy, even when the outcome IS still unseen and the “destINation” IS not reached, reflects the Faith She has IN Her ability, capacity, Devotion and WillINgness to rise to the occasion of properly and Purely disciplINg — raisINg up — Her Child/ren.

Faith Through Birth – MovINg MountaINs

TraversINg through the LabyrINth of Birth IS an act, and I would add, an ART — of High Faith. It IS the culmINation of months of growth and the ultimate “mountaIN” that must BE moved — brINgINg the Child INto the World. DurINg labor, a Woman’s Faith IS Her biggest asset, and God IS Her greatest ally. The paIN, the pace, the “progress”, the process, and the MYSTERY can All feel like MountaINs, but Faith, much like Jesus described IN 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟳:𝟮𝟬, encourages and enables Her to ask God to move Her, rather than to move the MountaIN — and to focus on God’s bigness, rather than MountaINs bigness. The Faith required IN and through Birth reflects the idea that even the seemINgly impossible (movINg MountaINs) can, and Will BE, accomplished through Faith and the persistence and perseverance that are a by-product of that Faith. A Woman’s endurINg Faith durINg labor IS Her MountaIN-movINg moment.

Faith Through Motherhood – Faithful IN Much

MotHERhood IS the FlowerINg of Faith INto its fullest form. As 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭𝟲:𝟭𝟬 teaches, those who are Faithful IN little Will BE Faithful IN much. The foundation laid durINg pregnancy — Faithfulness IN little — Now blossoms INto Faith IN God’s ongoINg work IN Her Child's Life. MotHERhood requires the Faith to Trust that while you do your part, God IS ultimately the One who holds your Child’s Future, BEcause He Authored and Willed their Life to BEgIN with. You are partnerINg with Him, not only by protectINg and providINg for their immediate needs, but by positionINg, primINg and preparINg them for their adult Life and the larger World — equippINg them to walk IN Faith, even when they are no longer under your direct care. IN thIS Way, MotHERhood BEcomes and IS the ultimate act of submission and Service to His Sovereignty, KnowINg that as you remaIN Faithful IN much, God IS Faithful IN even more.
