Let me start off by givINg you some context.
ThIS past WEek I have BEen catchINg up on some classes from the Physiologic Babycare Course I AM takINg with Rachelle Seliga of INnate Traditions and She mentioned the 3 GENERATION FOOTPRINT, which IS somethINg I have explored IN depth and spoken to IN multiple transmissions over the years.
For those of you who are not aware, accordINg to thIS concept of the 3 generation footprINt (from my INnerstandINg):
- ancestry INforms physiology
- you are the sum of the Ancestral matrix / Womb
- the Choices you make can and Will ripple, at the very least, INto the next two generations โ and can and Will impact your Children and grandChildren for BEtter or for worse.
Today, I was sittINg IN my risINg ritual, readINg and studyINg The Bible, and of course I stumbled upon the most Perfect Bible verse that speaks to the 3 generation footprINt.
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. ๐ฎ ๐ง๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ต๐ ๐ฑ
So BEaUtiful.
Thank you God, for thIS revelation.
ThIS moment of revelation led me to ponder agaIN, and even more deeply, the widespread dismissal of The Bible IN the modern World, especially among those who have never ventured to explore its depths.
Why IS it that a text replete with Wisdom, that speaks to the very fabric of Creational DestINy and the INtricate WEb of our relational and Spiritual INHERitances, IS so readily cast aside as irrelevant or obsolete?
How???
When it contaINs such TIMELESS TRUTH IN IT (which contINues to BE revealed to me and reINforced for me).
IN The Bible, WE fINd not just a story of our past but also the blueprINt for our (Faithful and Fruitful) Future, a call to Live with lawfulness and Faithfulness and an awareness of the Spiritual HERitage WE are called to pass on.
What many / most people forget IS that The Bible IS fact, not fiction. Far from BEINg a mere anthology of allegorical tales, parabolical INstruction or fictional characters, The Bible documents the Lives of real people. It IS not a book of myths or symbolic stories detached from the fabric of Human History; rather, it IS a sacred record and document of the TESTimonies of those who walked IN obedience with God.
The INdividuals WE encounter withIN its pages โ Abraham, Moses, Ruth, David, Mary, Timothy (to Name a few) โ are not figments of imagINation but WEre flesh, Bone and Blood, with HeARTBEats and lungs full of Breath. Their stories, marked by moral dilemmas, battles both external and INternal, temptation and triumph are not crafted narratives but Lived experiences. These are not mere "characters" but Ancestors of Faith, whose Lives (and story's) Serve as a lamp for our feet and a Light on our Path (๐ฃ๐๐ฎ๐น๐บ ๐ญ๐ญ๐ต:๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฑ).
IN today's digital era and ECOsystem, wHere the the proliferation of social media platforms and the rise of personal storytellINg have democratized the sharINg of narratives, a curious contradiction emerges. THere's a prevailINg sentiment that every person's story deserves to BE told and held. Apparently, the ethos of our time IS One of representation. Yet, paradoxically, thIS embrace of INdividual narratives seems to falter ... to hesitate, when it comes to the stories enshrINed IN The Bible.
Why IS it that WE champion the value of each person's journey, advocatINg for the visibility and amplification of every Voice, yet WE bristle at the notion of engagINg with the Lives and lessons of those withIN Biblical text?
Why do the TESTimonies of Abraham, Moses, Ruth, David, Mary, Timothy โ real people who navigated the mortification of their flesh and sINful Nature โ seem to BE exempt from the respect and reverence WE readily reserve and extend to contemporary narratives?
Many / most deny the teachINgs of the Bible, yet have never opened it. Many / most claim that the teachINgs of The Bible cause destruction, harm and violence, yet have never opened it. Many / most claim that the teachINgs of The Bible are outdated, irrelevant and INsignificant, yet have never opened it.
I Will BE the very first to Humbly admit that I was thIS person.
THere IS so much assumption, condemnation and judgment about The Bible, BASED ON OTHER PEOPLES INTERPRETATIONS OF IT.
THATS certaINly wHere my past assumptions, condemnation and judgment came from. They WEre rooted IN and based on other peoples (mis)INterpretations of The Word of God, not my own.
My INterpretations NOW, BEINg founded through a KINgdom lens and IN a HeART that IS postured to worship God.
My INterpretations NOW, BEINg shaped by my own engagement with and INvolvement IN The Word.
Secondhand INterpretations can BE and ARE coloured by the specific biases and perspectives of those INdividuals or groups. As a result, the ORIGINal messages can BE and ARE obscured or distorted. ThIS IS why it IS unWise to have an opINion on somethINg you havenโt personally engaged with yourSelf.
The Truth IS that The Bible was / IS designed to support and enable us IN fleshINg out Spiritual Truth (when it comes to Manhood, Womanhood, Holy Matrimony, conception, Birth, MotHERhood, Childcare, Family, Birthright, INHERitance and so much more).
The Truth IS that The Bible IS a book that holds answers WE All need, to questions many / most of us donโt even Know to ask.
Oh, the profound irony โฆ
The masses yearn for revelation, tirelessly searchINg yet never fINdINg, All the while resistINg and refusINg to open The Bible โ the One place they havenโt BEen WillINg and ChoosINg to look. It's withIN its pages that the very revelations they seek are waitINg to BE discovered by them and delivered to them.
I have read so many books IN my Life (and still do and Will contINue to), however, no book has enriched me more than The Bible. Over and over and over agaIN.
May thIS convict whoever reads thIS to pick up The Bible, whether for the first or hundredth, or thousandth time.
AMEN.
Grace BE with you.
