ThIS post was INspired by a thought I shared on NOTES on my SUBSTACK yesterday, that kept unfoldINg and takINg more form today — and that IS Now looking for a cozier Home than the margINs of my publication.

It’s strikINg to see how many Women tHere are Who reject Jesus Christ, yet exalt and esteem MotHER Mary — when the two are fundamentally INseparable. Mary’s entire identity IS bound to Her Son, just as His INcarnation was ordaINed through Her. Without Mary’s fiat, Jesus would not have taken on flesh; yet without Jesus, Mary would not BE the Woman God Created Her to BE. The Woman WE All Know Her to BE. Every Grace She possesses, every virtue She emBodies, exists BEcause of Her Son.

Let it be done to me according to your word. 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭:𝟯𝟴

Pure and True Devotion to Mary leads One not aWay from Christ, but directly to Him. She does not stand apart from Him; She points to Him, sayINg as She did at the WEddINg IN Cana:

“Do whatever he tells you.” 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝟮:𝟱

AnythINg less IS not veneration, but fragmentation — an INcomplete reverence that severs Mary from Her very Purpose: to magnify The Lord through Her DivINe MotHERhood.

My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭:𝟰𝟲-𝟰𝟳

I AM havINg a revelation that thIS contradictory tendency IS deeply Rooted IN FemINist thought, particularly IN its opposition to Patriarchy. Many Women Who resonate with Mary do so BEcause they see Her as the archetype of “THE DIVINE FEMININE” — yet they reject Jesus BEcause He rePresents the AUTHORity of God — and ultimately, the MasculINe prINciple and pole. Which they perceive as outdated and oppressive.

ThIS contradictory tendency stems from a reimagININg of Mary not as the Humble HandMaid of the Lord, but as a standalone figure of “FEMININE POWER”, disconnected from Her Son — the Source of Her significance and symbolism.

It aligns with the broader FemINist tendency to elevate Womanhood and MotHERhood on their own terms while resistINg Male AUTHORity — especially that of Christ, the ultimate AUTHORity. IN doINg so, they strip Mary of Her Pure and True identity, recastINg Her as an autonomous “GODDESS” figure — a FemINist icon —rather than recognizINg Her as the Woman Who, IN Perfect obedience and submission, gave Birth to the Savior of the World.

ThIS reINterpretation or rather, misINterpretation / misrePresentation of Mary IS ultimately a reflection of the modern obsession with self-Creation rather than commUNION with the Creator. Which IS entirely at odds with the reality of Who Mary IS. Mary was not self-Created; She was Chosen, formed, and filled with Grace, by God. Her greatness was not IN self-determINation but IN radical receptivity — Her WillINgness to participate IN God’s Plan.

Mary’s MotHERhood was not an act of self-Creation — it was an act of cooperation and collaboration with the Creator. She did not generate Life by Her own Will — She conceived by the Power and PROVISION of the Holy Spirit. Her entire BEINg was oriented toward God, not toward Herself.

To separate Mary from Christ IS not an elevation of Her dignity but a distortion of it. Pure and True Honor of Mary IS found IN recognizINg Her as the Perfect model of commUNION with God, not as a symbol of self-sufficiency.

ThIS rejection of Christ IN favor of Mary IS ultimately an attempt to reframe Christianity itself — to retaIN its BEaUty and Maternal warmth while strippINg it of its AUTHORity. Yet thIS AUTHORity IS not constrictive; it IS the very contaINer that holds Creation together, preventINg it from dissolvINg INto complete chaos. Just as a Woman’s Womb provides the necessary boundaries for Life to form, God’s AUTHORity acts as the contaINer that brINgs order to Creation. To deny the MasculINe prINciple and pole IS to leave only an illusion of Life — without the foundation that upholds it.

Scripture calls us to abandon the destructive struggle for domINance — whether Man over Woman or Woman over Man. IN doINg so, WE can BEar witness to the Truth: that Wholeness withIN our gendered identities IS not only possible, but available to anyOne and everyOne who claims and confesses what Christ alone has secured for us through His sacrifice on the Cross.

Scripture teaches us that Woman IS not God’s afterthought of Man. That Woman IS God’s amplifier of Man. That Adam, alone, IS simply a Man.

Adam — with Eveconceives and gives Life to, the Human race. Eve transforms the INdividual INto the INfINite. Eve IS the space that gives the Seed its Purpose and place. Without Her, the Seed’s excellence and exquisiteness could not emerge.

Ultimately — the MasculiNe provides structure and substance, and the FemININe amplifies, nurtures, and brINgs it to full fruition / Life.

ThlS relationship echoes the Creational prINciples of Seed and Soil.

The Seed, a symbol of the MasculINe, contalNs potential, but it needs the nurturINg environment of the Soil, rePresentiNg the FemlNINe, to grow, blossom, and BEar Fruit.

Both are essential — as neither would fully actualize their Purpose, and full POTENTIAL, without the other.

God Created Women to BE the BEarers and bridges of the very Life He masterfully AUTHORs.

What could BE more esteemed, exalted and Honorary, than that?
