Why I Stopped Practising Reiki

Here's the story / confession of why I stopped both practising and offering Reiki / energy healing / energy medicine.

As many of you here Know, I was a Reiki practitioner for yeaaaaars. I proudly identified as a Reiki healer. It was one of the main Services I offered when I owned and operated a yoga studio IN Toronto (pre-coco). I was constantly booked up for Reiki Services, and I made gooooooood money doing it as WELL BEcause of the frenzy around it IN the last 5 years especially.

I experienced a lot of healing through Reiki. I witnessed so many clients experience a lot of healing through Reiki.

I would NEVER ever take that away from Reiki .. or deny that there IS some semblance of healing to BE experienced there.

Having said that, as a Woman who did thousands of hours of Reiki sessions ~ I personally realized The Truth that Reiki doesn’t tend to the root cause of the dis-ease, but rather, it’s manifestation (alleviating symptoms more than getting to the core of the why). Just like IN many allopathic approaches .. BEcause the cause IS not addressed through Reiki, it Will come back again, manifested IN another form (a symptom of dis-ease), or IN the same form, just more amplified and aggravated. BEcause the relief and Harmonization IS temporary it can leave a lot of people on a healing hamster wheel.

A lot of these “healing modalities” can act as a diversion from fully realizing your own (INnate) Wholeness. Not Trusting that your Healing IS INEVITABLE AND IMMINENT. Not Trusting that your HEALING IS (without “trying” to make it happen). IN every moment, of every day. Additionally, many of these “healing modalities” can act as a diversion from fully BEINg with, processing and METABOLIZING the root cause of the dis-ease (hence the perpetual feeling of never arriving to a state of crystallized Peace).

I also KNOW that there IS alchemy IN everyone’s touch. And that there IS medicine and healing capacity IN everyone’s hands … and through everyone’s ENERGY, energetic imprints and energetic signatures. And that everyone IS their OWN conduit for healing and that WE shouldn’t need or rely on a third party mediator / CONDUIT to INduce healing for us or to INitiate the healing process for us.

I feel like so many of these energy healing modalities / quantum healing methods colonize healing IN a lot of ways ,.. and Create this illusion that you have to BE INITIATED TO BE OR BECOME A HEALER (which IS built on the lie / assumption that WE are not All INNATE healers .. which WE ARE).

The INternal friction about practicing and offering reiki continued to BE augmented by it’s marketing as an INclusive modality (that it IS accessible to everyBody), yet the way that it has BEen commodified and bastardized by the Western World IS a blatant form of modern day gatekeeping (rushed training processes, and overpriced certification processes / INitiations). Yes, people must BE paid for their Loving labor, for their time, for their space, for their emocean, for their energy ... however, I started seeing the deeply extractive and exploitative Nature of this INdustry as a Whole.

What was revealed to me was that the practise of Reiki was not rooted IN Wholeness. Was not rooted IN INtegrity. Perhaps IN it's ORIGINal form (as IS the case with many things) ... however, not anymore. Due to 100 years of INversions, reversals and distortions. Due to 100 years of people using Reiki energy to feed their flesh and their egos, rather than to BE of WHOLEHEARTED Service to the GOLDEN Global Heart. I started to see the epidemic of self-deification running rampant IN the Reiki World .. which to me IS representative of the depth of Human separation and IS the pinnacle of the superiority-INferiority / savior-victim complex that IS deeply embedded IN the collective (un)conscious.

What I have come to Know, and the Truth that I Choose to operate from NOW, IS that energy healing capacities are God-Given. It’s an openness and receptivity to Life. To anima ~ the animating principle of Life. It's a level of penetrative Presence that allows you to fully sense and experience the EMBRACE of Life. Which IS omni-Present and omnipotent. You don’t need symbols for that. You don’t need symbols to access that. WE WEre granted access to that the day WE BEcame a seed of Creation. A conduit of Creation.

I have noticed a PALPABLE shift IN my overAll energy since not partaking IN Reiki (IN the last year). Since not receiving it. Since not BEINg a conduit for it. It's BEen reflected to me time and time again, and IS deeply felt INternally as WELL. Creatively. Emoceanally. Professionally. Romantically. I literally have more Life. I have more Creative capacity. I have more clarity. I have more IMMUNITY. I’ve seen this with a lot of people who stopped practising and offering Reiki.

What I Know to BE True IS that when WE are IN Service to Love & Truth … WE FEEL GOOD, and Life reflects that back at us. “Ye shall Know them by their fruits.” Works of GOD, of Light, of Love … of Truth, ALWAYS PRODUCE NOURISHED FRUITS. I was a malnourished fruit when I was a Reiki practitioner / when I identified as a Reiki master (looking back on it with this pair of eyes). I feel more nourished than ever Now. And that doesn’t mean I don’t work on my soma and my energy Body, or on someBody else's .. it just means that there's BEen a reorientation and that I do it IN God-led and Faith-fuelled ways Now.

Reiki IS Presented as something that Will support you IN anchoring INto the Eternal WELL and resource that IS Faith. However, I KNOW Now, that it actually takes you further away from True, crystalline Faith.

I share this story with you All to illustrate the importance of staying True to your He(ART).

It was so confronting for me to sit with this Truth. To put a dam IN this stream of revenue / INcome IN my business. To Create, build and cultivate new, more resonant and aligned streams. To remain a Humble student, and IN Devotion and Service to LOVE IN the face of crippling fear. The fear that people wouldn't take me seriously through my pivots and identity upgrades. The fear that my offerings wouldn't matter anymore BEcause it wasn't what was HOT on the market. The fear that clients would migrate elsewhere and lose INterest IN me and what I have to offer.

Stagnating BEcause of fear, IS not BEINg of Service. IS not Love.

Withholding BEcause of fear, IS not BEINg of Service. IS not Love.

Not BEINg True BEcause of fear, IS not BEINg of Service. IS not Love.

Faith IS SUBLIME ASSURANCE.

Faith IS INGENIOUS ... its methods are PURE & SURE.

Fear (which IS Faith INverted) IS a Human's ONLY TRUE ADVERSARY.

Your Human Spirit IS defeated whenever you are fearful ... whenever you feed INto fear.

Fear of lack, fear of scarcity, fear of inadequacy, fear of imperfection, fear of loss.

Fear robs you of your Power, for that IS when you lose contact with YOUR VITAL LIFE FORCE ... WITH YOUR HE(ART) INTELLIGENCE.

There IS one True way to dissolve fear ... and that IS, to transmute it through Faith ... and INto FAITH.

This IS what I AM doing, by allowing mySelf to DECLARE here and Now that "I no longer practise / offer Reiki Services."

IN no way do I feel like no longer offering Reiki services has BEen an act of me taking something away from those who are a part of the Your Mirror commUNITY and ecosystem. If anything it has opened abundant and fertile opportUNITY for much self-sourced healing occurring withIN and throughout the commUNITY .. rather than through me, if you Will.

And THAT feels so exciting, and so expansive.

Let this BE your reminder that your healing IS INnate, INevitable, self-INvolving, and self-organizing. True healing utilizes DivINe Grace, and the Organically INTELLIGENT Powers / laws of Nature.
